Professional Foundation

The work of AgingCareAlly is deeply grounded in years of direct clinical experience across the healthcare continuum. Early in our journey, bedside dementia care as Certified Nursing Assistants provided us with a practical understanding of advocacy—learning to notice what others might overlook, speaking up when necessary, and safeguarding dignity during vulnerable moments.

As Licensed Practical Nurses and Charge Nurses, our responsibilities grew to include collaborative, comprehensive care planning, multidisciplinary coordination, and clinical oversight. These hands-on experiences gave us a clear understanding of what quality care truly looks like and, equally important, where systems can fail and cause unnecessary disruption.

Leadership roles in admissions and healthcare development further enhanced our expertise, providing systems-level insight into guiding families through discharge planning, post-acute transitions, and complex navigation between providers and facilities. These experiences reinforced the critical importance of structured oversight and the potential for fragmentation when that structure is lacking.

Today, AgingCareAlly integrates this extensive clinical depth, healthcare administration expertise, and strategic coordination to ensure stability, alignment, and thoughtful management during periods of transition.

Founded by Erika Austin, CMC, LPN, MBA‑HCM, CDP, Aging Life Care Professional®, AgingCareAlly reflects a disciplined professional structure coupled with an enduring commitment to advocacy.
